Alive Labs secures place on SHIFT Future Industries Demonstrator

In partnership with Plexal, one of the largest Innovation hubs in London, Alive Labs were received onto the very first cohort of the SHIFT Future Industries Demonstrator.  AL were awarded £20,000 to develop and perform a rigorous testbed to help build the Alive Cladding System up to TRL-6. 

This intensive 8-week programme gave rise to AL’s partnership with UCL, who built the software for a unique outdoor moss health monitoring system. We were offered a variety of vertical spaces in Hackney Wick to test the system externally, finally settling on the Loop along the canal. The testbed is currently ongoing and producing data for the validation of the system in an external environment.
