Alive Labs secures an Accelerated Knowledge Transfer with University of Bath
9th February 2024
Alive Labs were accepted onto an Accelerated Knowledge Transfer (AKT) programme with the University of Bath. Having already worked closely with Prof. Richard Ball and his team in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the AKT provides a platform for AL to conduct rigorous and thorough laboratory testing on a wide range of factors relating to our cementitious compound, Terranite.
With the goal of further understanding the complex chemistry in the cementitious matrix, and finding optimisations therein, the AKT represents the cutting edge in low-carbon, bio-receptive concrete design. It provides the platform to take a significant step towards a product that operates not only as a green wall, but also as a legitimately nature-positive, fire-resistant cladding solution.
